Trekking Baltoro

You’ll be greeted at Islamabad Airport and transferred to your hotel. Spend the day relaxing after your journey. A briefing and welcome dinner will be arranged if you arrive early.

Catch a scenic flight to Skardu with views of Nanga Parbat, weather permitting. After arrival, enjoy a relaxing day in Skardu.

Visit Kharpocho Fort for stunning views and explore Sadpara Lake. Use the day for acclimatization and to complete trekking permits.

Embark on a jeep drive through the Shigar Valley to Askole, the last village before the trek begins. Road conditions may require some hiking en route.

Start trekking beside the Braldu River and cross the snout of Biafo Glacier. Follow a scenic trail to reach the Jhola campsite.

Follow the Braldu Gorge with views of Trango Towers and Cathedral Peaks. The terrain is dry and sunny, ending the day at Paiju camp.

Take a well-deserved rest while porters prepare for the glacier. Optional hike toward Paiju Peak base camp is available.

Climb onto Baltoro Glacier and trek over uneven terrain with breathtaking views of Uli Biaho and Trango Towers.

Cross small glaciers and reach the camp near the army post. Enjoy a higher campsite with views of the surrounding peaks.

Walk across the center of the glacier, passing dramatic ice formations. Camp at Goro II where Baltoro and Younghusband Glaciers meet.

Follow the glacier toward Concordia, the heart of Karakoram. Enjoy panoramic views of K2, Broad Peak, and many other giants.

Trek to Broad Peak Base Camp and optionally continue to K2 Base Camp and Gilkey Memorial. Return to Concordia for the night.

Begin the descent with an easier walk back to Goro I. Enjoy new views along the glacier.

Retrace the route to Khoburtse, passing Urdukas. Views of Trango Towers continue to impress.

Descend off the glacier back to the tree line. Relax at Paiju camp under the shade of the valley.

Hike through Braldu Gorge once again. Expect a few river crossings before reaching Jhola camp.

Finish your trek at Askole, then drive back to Skardu for a well-earned rest in a hotel.

Reserved for potential delays. If not needed, use this free day to explore Skardu’s bazaar or relax.

Take a domestic flight to Islamabad (subject to weather). If canceled, drive to Chilas for overnight.

Used if your flight was delayed. Drive from Chilas to Islamabad or enjoy a free day in the capital.

Check out from your hotel and transfer to Islamabad Airport for your flight home.
