Spantik, also known as Golden Peak, is a striking mountain located in the Spantik-Susbon sub-range of the Karakoram. One of its most renowned features is the formidable northwest face known as the Golden Pillar—a technically demanding climbing route. The mountain is situated east of Diran and northeast of Malubiting, standing as a prominent and alluring peak in northern Pakistan.

3 Hours Before Flight Time
Arrival at Islamabad International Airport and transfer to a comfortable, centrally located hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax and recover from your long flight to Pakistan.
In the afternoon, an optional tour will be available for those interested, including a visit to Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad, and the bustling bazaars of Rawalpindi.
In the evening, we will enjoy a welcome dinner where you’ll have the opportunity to meet your guide and fellow group members. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Today we drive 11–12 hours along the famous Karakoram Highway to Chilas. En route, we’ll stop for photography, restroom breaks, and lunch at Chatar or Besham. Overnight stay at a hotel in Chilas.
After breakfast, we begin our 9–10 hour drive to Skardu. Along the way, we’ll stop at the “Junction Point of the World’s Great Mountain Ranges” – where the Himalayas, Karakoram, and Hindu Kush meet – and enjoy views of the formidable “Killer Mountain,” Nanga Parbat. Overnight stay at a hotel in Skardu.
Today is reserved for organizing logistics—hiring porters and purchasing supplies—as well as free time for sightseeing around Skardu. Overnight stay at the hotel.
We embark on a full-day jeep drive (7–8 hours) on a rugged trail to Arandu, the last inhabited village on our route to Spantik Base Camp. Overnight stay in camp.
Trekking 4–6 hours, we reach the mouth of the Chogo Lungma Glacier. Upon arrival at Mani Kuru, you may encounter shepherds with their livestock as this area is used as a summer settlement. This is also where we’ll catch our first view of Spantik Peak. Overnight stay in camp.
Today’s trek (5–7 hours) offers incredible views of the pyramid-shaped Spantik Peak. We pass through Manchikera, a summer settlement, before reaching another settlement at Khurumal. Overnight stay in camp.
Passing through the summer settlement of Gareencho and a small lake, we enjoy stunning views of both Spantik and Laila Peaks. We then reach Bolucho, situated at the base of the Bolucho Glacier. Overnight camping at approximately 3,900 meters on a grassy area with nearby water.
We trek 5–6 hours to reach Spantik Base Camp, located at an altitude of 4,300 meters. Overnight stay in camp.
Free day for rest and exploration around the Base Camp. Overnight stay in camp.
We begin our return journey with a trek back to Gareencho, a summer settlement used by local villagers. Overnight stay in camp.
Continue trekking down to Arandu, the last inhabited village on the route. Overnight stay in camp.
We take a jeep drive back to Skardu. Overnight stay in hotel.
We commence our return journey via the same route to Islamabad. Upon arrival, we will visit the relevant department for debriefing. Overnight stay in Islamabad.
