3 Hours Before Flight Time
Arrive in Islamabad, where you’ll be welcomed at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, there may be a short briefing in the evening.
Enjoy a scenic drive through the Kaghan Valley and over the 4,173 m Babusar Pass. Overnight stay in Chilas.
Continue on the iconic Karakoram Highway, passing Nanga Parbat viewpoint, Rakaposhi, and reaching the beautiful village of Passu in Upper Hunza.
The trek starts near the Batura Glacier. You’ll hike toward Yunz Ben, a green campsite surrounded by towering cliffs. Total trekking distance is around 11.5 km, taking 6 to 7 hours.
A challenging walk across the rocky moraine of Batura Glacier leads to the alpine meadows of Yashpirt. Trekking distance is 5.7 km, taking 6 to 7 hours.
Today’s longer trek traverses glacier zones and lateral moraine, reaching the expansive high plain of Shireen Maidan. The total distance is about 16.9 km over 6 to 7 hours.
This is a shorter acclimatization day, with a relaxed hike to the base camp of Werthum Pass. The trail is about 3.8 km and takes 3 to 4 hours.
A steep and scenic climb brings you to the high camp just below the pass. Expect cold, thin air and incredible views. Distance is around 3.4 km, with 3 to 4 hours of hiking.
This is the most demanding day of the trek. You’ll cross the 5,147 m Werthum Pass and descend into the untouched Harkeesh Valley. The trek spans 6.1 km and takes 6 to 7 hours.
A gentle descent through Lupgar Valley brings you to the settlement of Raminj. This is the final trekking day, taking around 3 to 4 hours.
Jeep ride back to Passu followed by a drive to Karimabad in central Hunza. Enjoy views of Attabad Lake and the majestic Hunza mountains.
Explore the cultural and historical highlights of Hunza, including Baltit Fort, Altit Fort, and the surrounding old villages. Enjoy local food and traditions.
Take a scenic drive back toward Naran, passing through beautiful mountain valleys and over Babusar Top once more.
Drive from Naran to Islamabad with an optional cultural stop at the Taxila archaeological site.

These expeditions are within extreme high altitude environments, with differing requirements when it comes to the ability needed. Due to the nature of the elements involved, you must provide concise, honest descriptions of relevant experience and current fitness levels. Upon receipt, we will review your experience and respond accordingly. At this point, if we consider there to be any shortfalls, we can collectively discuss the opportunities and/or provide a training support plan to achieve your goals.
Yes. We guarantee a 1:1 guide to client ratio on every expedition, with four additional climbing Sherpas acting as reserves, ready to chip in if needed. This helps ensure the highest safety standards.
We can provide full office facilities at basecamp, including Wi-Fi. Satellite phones are also available throughout the expedition for emergency and essential comms.
All communal equipment is included ie. high quality ropes, stoves, tents etc. You are responsible for personal gear and clothing, eg. harness, crampons, helmet, ice axes etc. A full essentials list and advice (if required) will be provided at time of booking.
