3 Hours Before Flight Time
Upon landing at Gilgit Airport, our team will greet and escort you to Hunza Valley. The day is spent exploring the ancient Altit Fort, the beautifully restored Royal Gardens, and the iconic Baltit Fort perched above Karimabad. In the evening, you’ll enjoy sweeping panoramic views from Eagle’s Nest Viewpoint, followed by a relaxed walk through the Karimabad Bazaar. Overnight in Hunza.
After breakfast, you’ll travel along the breathtaking Karakoram Highway, making scenic stops at the famous Hussaini Suspension Bridge, the Passu Cones, and the dramatic Passu Glacier. Continuing through Sost, you’ll ascend to Khunjerab Pass at 4,693 meters — the highest paved border crossing in the world. From there, the route descends into the remote Chapursan Valley, where your journey into the heart of Wakhi culture begins. Overnight in Chapursan.
Spend the day exploring the raw natural beauty of Chapursan. Walk alongside glacial streams, visit serene alpine lakes and yak pastures, and take optional short hikes through wide-open valleys surrounded by mountains. You’ll also have the chance to engage with the local Wakhi communities, gaining insight into their traditions and mountain way of life. Overnight in Chapursan.
Travel deeper into the hidden corners of Chapursan, visiting spiritual and cultural sites such as Zood Khun, Yarzerech, or the legendary Baba Ghundi Shrine. This day offers a deeper connection with the landscape and its people — from mystical tales and local legends to participating in village routines or sharing a traditional Wakhi meal with a host family. After breakfast, begin your journey back, stopping at the magnificent Hoper Valley, known for its sweeping views of the Hoper Glacier and the shining spire of Golden Peak (Spantik). By afternoon, you’ll return to Hunza, where you’ll have free time to enjoy the local markets and atmosphere of Karimabad. Overnight in Hunza.
Start the day with a scenic drive to Naltar Valley — a hidden paradise famous for its colorful alpine lakes and ancient pine forests. Visit Satrangi and Blue Lake, with a chance of spotting snow leopards or ibex in the wild. The drive back passes through Nomal Village, eventually bringing you to Gilgit City. Spend the evening exploring the NLI Market or relaxing at your hotel. Overnight in Gilgit.
After breakfast, we will transfer you to Gilgit Airport for your flight back to Islamabad, marking the end of this unforgettable adventure.
These expeditions are within extreme high altitude environments, with differing requirements when it comes to the ability needed. Due to the nature of the elements involved, you must provide concise, honest descriptions of relevant experience and current fitness levels. Upon receipt, we will review your experience and respond accordingly. At this point, if we consider there to be any shortfalls, we can collectively discuss the opportunities and/or provide a training support plan to achieve your goals.
Yes. We guarantee a 1:1 guide to client ratio on every expedition, with four additional climbing Sherpas acting as reserves, ready to chip in if needed. This helps ensure the highest safety standards.
We can provide full office facilities at basecamp, including Wi-Fi. Satellite phones are also available throughout the expedition for emergency and essential comms.
All communal equipment is included ie. high quality ropes, stoves, tents etc. You are responsible for personal gear and clothing, eg. harness, crampons, helmet, ice axes etc. A full essentials list and advice (if required) will be provided at time of booking.
