The Alampir Pass Trek is a hidden gem in the Ghizer Valley region of Gilgit-Baltistan, offering a spectacular yet lesser-known route through the remote Hindukush mountains. This trek connects Yasin Valley with the isolated Darkut area, crossing through high pastures, narrow ridgelines, and glacier-fed rivers.
Alampir Pass, perched at around 4,700 meters, rewards trekkers with breathtaking panoramic views of snow-covered peaks, wild alpine landscapes, and untouched valleys. Along the way, you encounter peaceful Wakhi settlements, herder camps, and trails once used by ancient traders and travelers between Pakistan and Central Asia.
This trek is ideal for seasoned hikers seeking solitude, raw mountain beauty, and cultural immersion without the crowds of more commercial routes.
